Ruby`s Wood Grill in York

We stopped in for a late lunch on 4/18/2019. We had never been here before and had heard numerous people we know say how good their food is. And we would agree. My husband had the taco salad and I had a build-your-own quesadilla. His taco salad was huge and so colorful. He said it was delicious. My quesadilla was very good as well. I had grilled chicken, mushrooms, and cheese in mine with salsa on the side. It had a really great flavor. I brought home over half of mine, and it was just ad good reheated. We both said we'd definitely go back. With our drinks - iced tea & Diet Coke, our bill was about $22.00. It's a cute cozy place, easy to get to right on Route 1 in York. Check it out!

Steak tips were great!

I was in the area and looking for good pizza. The locals recommended Ruby's. It looked like a small restaurant-to the right, with a small bar-to the left, and the server said there was a sports bar straight ahead, thru the door and in back. We had the chorizo and tomato pizza to go. It was excellent, although the chorizo was not ground, it was links that were cut into chunks. Price for the 10 inch was a bit on the higher side at $14.99 + tax.Servers were very pleasant, as we waited in the very small entrance for our order, and they had to walk around us. Definitely worth exploring the rest of their menu when we are in the area.

Nice little pug type atmosphere with good wood fired pizza and a nice beer selection!

Great flatbreads and drinks.

Great local sports bar and bar and dinning and open seating in between bars.They just got a new menu I tried the pulled pork quesadilla it was incredible especially with the homemade sauce.

Great local restaurant the bar out back is the best place around to catch any game you want.

Food was okay but the cleanliness gets a zero. While you are shut down during the virus scare maybe you should give it a good cleaning!!! Dust hanging from the lights is not a good thing to see while eating dinner.

The staff was an interesting crew, but very polite and respectful. And the food is delicious and well presented. I'd highly recommend stopping in for a great meal!

We stopped here on our way back from York. My mom has been before and loved it. I ordered the taco salad (it came with chili on it) and when I received it, the “chili” was scary. I had to ask the waitress what type of animal it was made from. It was ground beef and pulled pork. It was CLEARLY leftovers in a pot, and I couldn’t get it down. I then asked for the vegetarian chili taco salad. That was 3 kinds of beans microwaved with a dash of taco seasoning. I ate the chips and called it a night. My 6 year old had catchup on her fries and she said she liked it cause it it was fuzzy like seltzer. I tried it, and it was fermented in the bottle. We received the check and the waitress ran the card without letting us see the itemized bill. When I asked for a copy, they acted very put out and didn’t want to honor the kids eat free offer that was on the menu because “it’s summer”. I do not recommend this restaurant and will not be returning.

Carle Brown is a town champ and his restaurant is an institution. Love it!!

Our experience recently was not as good as in the past. The chicken fajita pita was not seasoned at all and although menu says cheese, there was no cheese. Bland sandwich. The BLT was tasty however. Also there are brilliantly lit LED overhead lamps at each table now which were very uncomfortable to sit under. Much too bright!Our server seemed a bit lethargic and we noticed that she didn’t seat people who were waiting by the door because she wasn’t paying attention. We won’t be in a hurry to come back.

The place used to be really good, over the last few years it has gotten a little run down. The food was okay, my med rare burger was med well. It tasted good, and I was hungry. By the time the waitress chechef on us it was too eaten to even mention. We will be looking for other places to try before we give them another chance.

Food was good and fresh. Clean bar area- where we ate- and we got to watch the Penn State game.

Wood smoked ribs and pulled pork...do I need to say much more? This place ROCKS! Overly generous amount of tasty food, s♤it kickin' country music and a great waitress make for a great time! I'm definitely coming back when I pass through Maine again.

Absolutely a terrible experience. The food was burnt and cold when it came out. They only focused on the local crowd and took over an hour to get our food at non peak time. The whole party got served separately with a good 10 to 15 minutes between each one of us. Along with half the staff was lit out of their minds on some sort of drug

I had a burger and fries they where good. Many items on the menu. I will go back and try something else next time I am in the area. Servers were great.

I don't normally leave reviews but we tried this place out when we had family in from out of town. Our experience was far from great. The waitress seemed very distant and unenthusiastic about her job. The food across the bar was not great. We had the haddock where the breading tasted burnt and the center of the fish wasn't quite cooked all the way. The ribs were so covered in sauce that you couldn't event taste the meat which was overcooked. The pizza again just tasted burnt and kinda plain.

Food is fantastic, all aspects of our meal were great. Meals are *real* food, cooked perfectly. Pizzas of this quality are unfortunately becoming a lost art. Eat here and you'll never go to Domino's again.

Great food I myself had the fish and chips my son got the buffalo chicken sandwich it was huge. Prices are fair and service was excellent. Nice clean place to enjoy a meal.

Very nice man served us. Currently on vacation from Iowa. We came in and as soon as we sat down we personally felt as if we were very welcome. Staff were very comfortable with eachother. If I didnt live 1,100 miles away from this resturaunt I would love to come back.

Awesome fresh food, very diverse menu. It's a casual atmosphere. Wait staff was nice and friendly. Will definitely be back. For the pizza.

Went to Ruby's with the wife. She had the Stan & Ollie and I had the Meat Lover's pizza. Both pizzas were delicious and had plenty of toppings and a thin hand stretched crust. My wife also had the clam chowder and that was lip smacking good too.

Food was good.staff was great.we ate outback under the tent.it was 98 out staff running downstairs for ice.up & down the stairs they need a raise 😀everyone was at there distance.would go back .

It was a fantastic find! It is the kind of place everyone wants in their neighborhood. The layout of the restaurant is very quirky and added to its charm. We sat in the sports pub.the bartender was very friendly and took the time to give us a little bit of the history of Ruby's. The food was really very good and priced right. I will never drive on the coast of Maine and not eat at Ruby's

Stopped on our way to Bar Harbor a few years back. Had the best pizza I have had before or since. Will definitely stop there again when heading to Bar Harbor.

Good food, good service, prices are common. If you believe chili should have ample heat, no beans and full of shredded slow-cooked meat, this place is for you! Be really hungry though if you think you can down a bowl.The only thing not so great was that the pork ribs were super fatty and the meat that was there was on the tough side... not quite fall-off-the-bone as we were hoping. Easy fix though if they want to fix it going forward.Decor is rustic but cozy. Staff is pleasant and effective.

Great food and great server. Being I had never been and was asked where I wanted to sit I wish the areas were explained or shown. There was a nice outside eating area that I would of loved to eat at.

Fantastic place to go. I had their vegetarian chili salad and I'm still craving it. I have several intolerances and am celiac so this was an unexpected delight! The guys loved the good quality home cookin'. Very filling; great portion sizes. Can't wait to go back!

Great customer service.. combo meal for 19.99 bbq chicken and falling off the bone ribs were delicious.. their beans are so good too..

Fantastic wood fired pizzas ! The buffalo wings were delicious sweet and smokey spicy . One member of our party had the chicken and waffles also perfect.Draft beer could have been colder.Friendly staff too.Recommend giving this gem a try.

Got way more than we expected in here. Great people, good food, good drinks. Can't go wrong in here

I do not recommend this restaurant - The restaurant is dirty, filth on vents and ceiling fans. We were practically forced out of our seats by the number of flies. I ordered chicken parmesan and opted out because it had a funny after taste.

Service was ok but not great. But then again I wasn't feeling great. Will try it again sometime

Order a beer and a pizza. Beer was warm land the dough setting on the counter had flys walking all over them. Told the waitress and she had the guy put a pizza box on the fly infested pizza.

Whoa! Best hot wings I ever had, seasoned with a clearly orignal recipe, dry rubbed up and everystuff! I had tender ribs with plenty of sauce, flavored to death mashed potatoes with butter to dribble all over my broccoli! If only tyrannical government didn't exist, I could have enjoyed this meal with drinks at their bar or in their lovely open air dining area. To hell with subverting our constitution over the flu!

Best pizza we've had in a while, the crust and sauce were spectacular. Our server was friendly and attentive, even though the place was packed. Would definitely eat here again when we are in town.

Great food! Very busy so service wasn't as good as hoped thus 4 stars. Servers were friendly but had too much going. Overall happy with meal and would return if back in the area.

Hit or miss. Loved the buffalo chicken pizza but my sister's pulled pork was absolutely horrendous. Not in the least bit appealing and the worst pork I have ever eaten.

First time here, with a group of friends. Everything was amazing!

I went on a Wednesday where they have Wing Wednesday’s. They were five dollars and you get a very large plate of wings. Many places have tiny wings when they have these types of deals but these wings were very thick and had a lot of meat on them. They were cooked great and were some of the best wings in the area. The restaurant has table seating and also bar seating depending on what you’re looking for.

Dirty restaurant. Food quality is not good. Brown romaine lettuce for a ceasar salad. Chocolate milk is made with Nestle quick lol. Was not an enjoyable dining experience. Will never return. I ordered a steak bomb and was afraid to eat.

Food was great. Atmosphere is a little rustic. Staff was very friendly.
